Project Story: Building on Trust, Designing for Family
When Mr and Mrs Aboayge reached out to Jacob West, it was more than a new project—it was a continuation of trust. Having admired the home we previously built for her brother in the same neighborhood, she wanted us to create something just as special for her own family.
She commissioned us to design and build a four-bedroom home, but the site came with a major challenge: it was located on wetland waterlogged area. This presented significant risks for long-term durability, especially with dampness threatening the foundation.
To overcome this, our team employed the fast flow foundation technique, a specialized method where beams are elevated above ground level. This innovative approach ensured the home would remain dry, solid, and protected for generations to come.
Construction began before COVID-19, but like many projects of that time, the pandemic caused delays. Still, by early 2021, the home was completed, beautifully designed with clean, modern spaces tailored for family living.
Today, the Abaji family enjoys their home not only as a place of comfort but also as a symbol of resilience and thoughtful design, where engineering and trust came together to create lasting peace of mind.
